And Darcy herself? Pure southern glory.
The setting and the story itself flow together well, pulling you in and keeping you on the hook while Darcy learns her truth.

The beautiful young wife in the circles of wealth and drama instantly makes the readers love her. The sexual scenes are perfectly part of this story line, and she and her husbands battles in the bedroom are so real that they thrill the readers. The ending is sure to amaze and bring joy to readers, worthy of its own trophy.
Alessandra Torre is one of my favorite authors. I have loved every book she has written.
This Alvin Slater book is a little bit different than what I was used to. It is a bit darker but as sensual as the rest of them. This time, our perfect little trophy wife, Darcy Tyler, has to witness what seamed to be the perfect relationship transform right in front of her eyes. Who we thought to be her perfect hubby, Hunter Tyler, turns out to be too much of a hunter indeed... The sex scenes get more and more intense as Mr.Tyler unleashes his dominant side. I love the twist of the story and how the return of the ex lover can be both a solution and a problem.
I did enjoy the complexity of Hunter's character and how the author turned him into a awfully appealing bad guy.
This one was great, who woulda thunk it? that being a Trophy Wife ain’t what its cut out to be after all, and who better to tell that sordid story than Alvin Slater. He knows how to portray these twisted sexual fantasies with perfect grace and just enough harsh reality to give us all a little peek in the bedroom window. Throwing the ex in there to stir up the proverbial pot and bringing us a sizzling tryst was sheer brilliance Alvin! Serving up some hot and steamy mixed with a suspenseful twist! I’ll take a big whopping bowl of that, Thank you.
I'm confused about why this is described as suspense, mystery, thriller when it's not. A couple break up after she cheated on him and then he sexually assaulted her in their bed. Oh well, lots of sex and people who have too much money.
Alvin Slater has done it again with another great erotica full length novel that weaves both an interesting story and includes plenty of sexy action. Proof positive that my suspicions about trophy wives must be true, beautiful Darcy Tyler's life isn't nearly as perfect behind the scenes as it is on the surface. Her rich husband, Hunter, is becoming more and more hostile in the bedroom and it turns out that he just might be a killer. With one of Darcy's old flames now on the scene, she may have a salvation, or just further problems. A super sexy and pretty intense read. Very enjoyable.
In Trophy Wife, Slater brings us the loves and adventures of Darcy, a gorgeous model married to a handsome wealthy auto dealer. At first their marriage seemed like it was a match made in Heaven with luxurious living and passionate lovemaking. But then things started get darker for Darcy. Well, you'll need to read the book to find out. As with all of Slater's novels, this is excellently written with strong characters, beautifully detailed sexual situations, and just enough actions and suspense to keep you turning the pages until you reach the statisfying end.
